
Free Spirit: Stories of You, Me and BC is a 10,000 sq. ft. feature exhibition on now at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the establishment of British Columbia as a Crown Colony.
These public programs and events compliment the exhibition:
The Free Spirit Players
A cast of characters from BC's past, both ordinary and extraordinary, will play out their stories and answer your questions. Included with museum admission.
Performances are on the hour from 11am to 4pm from March 13, 2008 to May 31, 2008 and September 2, 2008 to January 11, 2009.
Performances every 30 minutes from June 1, 2008 to September 1, 2008.
From the World to BC - Saturday Series
Events are on the fourth Saturday of each month, beginning in April 2008. Free with the exception of 10am storytimes which are included with admission. Events run between 10am and 1pm.
From the World to BC is a chance for you and your family to visit with community groups who have come to the RBCM to share their culture and stories with you, our visitor.
Topics are subject to change. Please visit this website again closer to the event date for updated descriptions, times and locations. Each event will begin at 10 am in the gallery with Tales for Tots multi-cultural storytelling presented by Puente Theatre Association and the Inter-Cultural Association of Victoria.
