Guidelines for Student Submissions

Attention Aspiring Filmmakers and Budding Biographers!

Was your grandfather an adventurer?
Your aunt a trendsetter?

We are looking for stories of everyday people who led extraordinary lives to celebrate the personal stories of the people of British Columbia over the last 150 years.

The Royal BC Museum is inviting individual students, or even entire classes, to submit one of the following:

  • A short video documentary - written, filmed and edited by a student or a class; or
  • A story - with or without photographs.

Selected submissions will be incorporated into the actual exhibition in the Museum and all accepted submissions will be posted on the Free Spirit - People's History Project website.
